Uranium-contaminated site collapses into Detroit River

A Detroit property contaminated with uranium and other dangerous chemicals partially collapsed into the Detroit River on Nov. 26, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy has confirmed.

The news is especially concerning because the Detroit drinking water intake lines are nearby downriver.

(CNN) A new study finds that drinking tap water in California over the course of a lifetime could increase the risk of cancer.

More Than 140 First Nations Still Lack Access To Safe Drinking Water

Anishinabe artist and writer Jay Odjick took to Twitter Monday to call out the lack of clean drinking water on many First Nations in Canada. Odjick, a TV producer and comics creator, tweeted that his community hasn’t had clean drinking water for decades.
